Sometimes, when you’re GF and vegan it’s hard to find a dessert-like treat that isn’t disgusting. This is a yummy/refreshing summer treat!
Here’s what you need to make one serving:
- Strawberries (I used 1 cup of frozen and 1/4 cup of fresh)
- Lemon (I used 1 squirt of fresh lemon juice for flavoring)
- Basil seasoning – The secret ingredient!
You can throw it all in a blender and that’s it! You’re done!
I had surgery a couple of weeks ago and during my recovery, my grandpa made me these extremely healthy smoothies. One of the ingredients that he used was fresh basil from his garden. That’s what got me hooked on basil and inspired me to use it as my secret ingredient for this recipe.
