Homemade Pesto Sauce

This is seriously so yummy! It does take a lot of time to make it though.


Here’s what you need to make it:

  • 2 cups of crushed Basel leaves
  • 1 tablespoon of minced garlic
  • 1/2 crushed walnuts
  • 1 cup of olive oil
  • 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese
  • 1 dash of lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

You do need a food processor to make this! I would start by crushing up the Basel leaves. Gradually add in the olive oil. Add the other ingredients one at a time while mixing with your food processor… and that’s all!

Green Salad

This one is for all of you who are trying to eat more green vegetables!

Green Salad

Here’s what you need to make it:

  • Baby spinach
  • Lettuce
  • Green onion
  • Broccoli
  • Cilantro

I diced up the green onions, broccoli, and lettuce and plated this!

Mushroom Pizza

This is another really quick fix if you have a yummy pizza crust!


Here’s what you need to make it:

  • Marinara sauce
  • Pre-made pizza crust
  • Butter
  • Chicken
  • Garlic powder
  • Mushrooms
  • Parsley (if you’re feeling fancy)

I started by grilling the chicken in butter and garlic powder on my stove. I diced up the mushrooms and spread the marinara sauce over the pizza crust. My pre-made pizza crust said to bake at 450 degrees for 8-10 minutes!

Stuffed Pepper

If you have a rice cooker that does a good job at making brown rice, then this is a quick fix!

Stuffed Peppers

Here’s what you need to make it:

  • Brown rice
  • Green onion
  • Cilantro

I made the brown rice in my rice cooker. Then, I diced up the green onions and cut off the cilantro and mixed them all together. I took out all of the seeds from the pepper and washed it and threw the rice combo in it… And you’re done!

If you want to make this a more balanced meal, then I would recommend adding some meat as well!

Granola Bites

Truth is, I am way too lazy to make banana bread when my bananas are ripe. So I’ve been coming up with lots of different ways to make granola/protein balls.

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Granola Bars

Here’s what you need to make them:

  • 2-3 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 scoop of vanilla protein powder (I used Muscle Milk Whey protein powder)
  • 2 heaping spoonfuls of peanut butter (I used a natural peanut butter so if your peanut butter isn’t runny then you should melt it first).
  • 3 cups of oats

Start by mashing up the bananas. Then add the peanut butter and protein powder and mix. Add the oats in last! Ball them up and bake for 8-10 minutes.

That’s it! You’re done!

Bacon and Green Beans

This recipe is always a crowd pleaser!

Bacon and Green Beans

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Here’s what you need to make it:

  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Bacon
  • Fresh green beans
  • Mozzarella cheese

Put the green beans at the bottom of the pan.  Drizzle the chicken broth over the green beans. Cook the bacon separately and cut it into bite sized pieces. Add the bacon to the pan with the green beans. Bake for about 20 minutes. Drizzle the cheese on top to finish! (You can put the dish back in the oven to speed up the process of melting the cheese for about a minute).

Italian Chicken

This chicken is really flavorful, a quick fix, and pretty cheap to make!


Here’s what you need to make it:

  • Chicken tenders
  • Italian salad dressing
  • A ziplock bag
  • Parmesan cheese (optional)

For the best results, put the chicken with the salad dressing and the cheese in a ziplock bag in the fridge overnight. Pour enough salad dressing so the chicken can swim in it. Add the amount of cheese that best suits your taste buds. The longer the chicken sits in the salad dressing, the yummier it will taste!

I typically bake this at 350 degrees for around 30 minutes. And then you’re done!
